Sharon Regional Medical Center Recognizes EMS Providers
Local First Responders Honored as Part of National Emergency Medicine Week
Sharon Regional Medical Center announced that it has recognized EMS providers for their dedication as the front line in care of heart attack patients during the recent National EMS week celebration event. As the region’s only fully accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI Accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC), and only accredited Primary Stroke Center from the Joint Commission, Sharon Regional has demonstrated the highest standards in the country for heart attack and stroke care.
In recognition of the critical role played by EMS providers in implementing care and initiating communication with the hospital prior to the patient arriving at the hospital, Sharon Regional’s Emergency Care Center staff selected recipients for three awards during an EMS appreciation dinner and continuing education program held on May 24th.
