Sharon Regional Recognizes 2016 Employees of the Year
Names 2016 Employee of the Year and Clinical and Non-Clinical Managers of the Year
February 1, 2017 — Sharon Regional Medical Center announced that it has selected several employees to be recognized for the 2016 calendar year including employee of the year and clinical and non-clinical managers of the year.
Jacque Barborak was nominated as the Sharon Regional 2016 Employee of the Year. This award is the highest honor bestowed on a hospital employee each year. Jacque was chosen from among more than 1,200 hospital employees for the honor.
“Health care requires a special blend of great people skills, tireless energy and the ability to work well under pressure,” says Jason Roeback, Chief Executive Officer. “People who work in health care share the common desire to help others and make a difference in people’s lives. It’s a pleasure to recognize our employees for their dedication to our patients and to providing outstanding care.”
Employees are nominated for the award by their hospital peers based on their commitment to patient care, their professionalism, and their contributions on the job.
Jacque joined Sharon Regional in December of 2000 as an Ultrasound/ Echo Technologist in the Medical Imaging department. Jacque’s colleagues recognize his commitment to patients during his daily interactions, his upbeat attitude and customer service skills that combine to make him an exemplary employee. Jacque resides in Hermitage with his family.
In addition, Jane Benka, Director of Surgical Services was named Sharon Regional’s Clinical Manager of the Year. Jane joined the organization in November of 2015 where she is responsible for the operating and recovery rooms, outpatient surgery and central sterile supply areas. Jane is committed to improving patient satisfaction and outcomes by developing and implementing best practices for each of the areas she oversees. Jane is a member of the American Operating Room Nurses and the American Society of Peri-Anesthesia Nurses Associations. Jane and her family live in Hermitage.
Kim Durkos, Practice Manager of Hubbard Diagnostic & Specialty Center was named Non-clinical Manager of the Year. Kim joined Sharon Regional in June of 2010 and is responsible for the oversight and daily operations of the Hubbard Diagnostic & Specialty Center, which now houses the Sharon Regional Medical Group Family Medicine practice and the newly opened walk-in clinic, QuickMed, located in Hubbard, Ohio. In addition to the Hubbard location, Kim also provides oversight responsible for two primary care practices in Ohio. Kim is a resident of Hubbard where she lives with her husband and three sons and is active in the community and serves as a member of the Hubbard Chamber of Commerce.
